LOCATIONS
AMERICAN RIVER
SAILORS BAR PARK ENTRANCE
From U.S. 50,
exit onto Hazel Avenue. Make a left at Winding Way, then
another left on Illinois Avenue. The park entrance will be
at the bottom of a small hill.
UPPER AND LOWER SUNRISE RD
From U.S.
Highway 50, exit at the Sunrise Blvd. off-ramp. Head north.
Just before the American River overpass, turn right into the
park entrance, which is marked by a sign. Past the entry
kiosk, turn left to get to Lower Sunrise and right to enter
Upper Sunrise. Upper Sunrise may also be accessed from Gold
Country Blvd just west of Hazel Avenue (north of Highway
50). The fish hatchery parking lot is accessible only from
the Hazel Avenue access to Upper Sunrise.
ROSSMOOR PARK ENTRANCE
From U.S.
Highway 50, take the Sunrise Blvd. off-ramp, heading north.
Turn left onto Coloma Road. Turn right on either El Manto or
Rossmoor Drive to access the park.

WATT AVE
From U.S.
Highway 50, take the Watt Avenue North exit. Stay in the
right lane and exit at La Riviera Drive. Make a left at the
end of the La Riviera ramp, and then make a right into the
park’s gates.
HOWE AVE
Howe Avenue is
easy to access from U.S. Highway 50. Simply take the Howe
Ave. off-ramp and head north. Turn right immediately onto La
Riviera Drive. Follow the La Riviera off-ramp straight to
the park’s entrance.
PARADISE BEACH
From U.S. 50,
take the Howe Ave. off-ramp, heading north. Make a left on
Fair Oaks Blvd., then a right on Carlson Drive. You will
find Paradise Beach at the intersection of Carlson and
Sandburg Drives, over the levee from Glen Hall Park.
DISCOVERY PARK
A 302-acre
park, Discovery Park is located beside I-5 in downtown
Sacramento. From I-5 take the Richards Blvd. off-ramp then
go west to get to the South entrance of the park, or follow
the Garden Highway exit east from I-5 to find the North
entrance. Signs denote the park’s location from I-5.
